Forest Preserve sets volunteer program The Kane County Forest Preserve will hold an open house from 6 to 8 p.m. Jan. 10 at Building G in the Kane County Government Center, 719 Batavia Ave., Geneva.
Attendees will learn how to become a volunteer with the Kane County Forest Preserve District. Volunteer opportunities range from educational programs at Tekakwitha Woods to cultural preservation and interpretation at Fabyan Forest Preserve.

Women's group to host luncheon
The Fox Valley Women's Connection will hold their "Dream a Little Dream Luncheon" from noon to 1:30 p.m. Jan. 11 at the Mill Creek Golf Club, 39W525 Herrington Drive, Geneva.
The afternoon's activities will include a luncheon, a musical program and a speaker.
